Daylight is shortening and it's time to think about eating well through the whole winter. Fortunately the Swainway tribe is one step ahead - we're preparing for our third winter CSA.
Outdoor farmers' markets wrap up when the weather coolers but our ability to grow organic, nutrient-dense mushrooms and microgreens continues. Your participation in our winter CSA will support your good health and our expanding growing capacity. Specifically, we will use the CSA membership fees to outfit additional space to inoculate and fruit the shiitake, oyster, and lion's mane mushrooms we're known for.
Features of the Swainway Winter CSA 2014-2015:
- Three food options - mushrooms, microgreens, or both
- Selection of mushrooms and microgreen varieties
- Two pick up locations - Worthington Indoor Farmers' Market and Clintonville location TBD
- Sixteen week season beginning December 6
New this year! We're offering a 10% discount for those who register by December 1. That means the mushrooms and microgreens only CSA will cost only $144 and combination CSA will cost only $172.80 for those who register early.
Sign up in person at the Clintonville or Worthington farmers' markets on Saturday morning or print out the .pdf form below to register. As always, you can contact us by web, email, or phone (614-598-3559) with any questions.
Here's to a delicious, health-filled winter!
PS. Did you know that we also offer bulk bins of one pound of microgreens? If four bags of microgreens in the CSA isn't enough for you, contact Rachel to learn about our pre-paid bulk bin program.
